"The American Prospect on Wednesday published an investigation revealing that top artificial intelligence firm Anthropic is building a predictive surveillance system aimed at tracking activists who are opposed to advanced AI development.

"The Prospect found that Anthropic last month issued a job posting seeking an intelligence specialist to “identify, assess, track, and investigate global threats including geopolitical instability, terrorism, crime, activism, nation-state targeting of the AI sector.”

It means they know that the majority of #Americans are in #TheResistance and that their days are numbered. Take as many photos and recordings of them as you can. They will all be doxxed eventually.

Grow vegetables.
Draw a picture.
Sing.
Play an instrument.

And do all of the above with others. In person, at a community garden or centre, online, in a video call. Show each other your vegetable seedlings, your sketches, your photographs. Celebrate the human experience of bringing something into the world that has not existed before, yourself, in your own way. Not owned by a corporation and consumed because of FOMO. Not to be judged, bought and sold, and thrown away when it is no longer fashionable according to self-proclaimed “influencers.” Not for approval and social capital, but as a reminder to yourself and others that the act of creation is THE reason to live.

Create simply because it’s fun. Emerging, gently, honestly, happily, and tentatively from your own hands and spirit.

Because creation is the opposite of destruction. Those who wish to destroy our will to resist are delighted when we just stop trying to create for our own pleasure. They know that if we stop caring about the reason democracy exists - freedom to create, freedom to choose, freedom to act - then they have won.

If we are to resist, we must remind ourselves WHY. Every day. Over and over. And show others we are creating without fear, so they can have courage to create, too.

Science, medicine, art, literature, community programs, social services - those all exist in order to sustain our freedom to create. To learn. To grow and thrive.

So today, go plant a seed. Make a picture. Sing a song in the shower.

Kick at the darkness til it bleeds daylight.
