Mistodon: for last month's new science fiction-themed MIST0526 artpack collection, Cthulu drew some #ANSIart in tribute to Brad Bird's 1999 animated film adaptation #TheIronGiant, including a slogan drawn from the movie's script. #YouDontHaveToBeAGun

One year ago today I posted this miniature Iron Giant photo I created using real lighting, figures, miniatures a piece of rock I painted up for the hill side & a bit of log for the foreground cliff.

All my miniature shots are created using zero ambient or natural light. Every single photo I've made has been lit meticulously using only my lighting & the colours are done by using gels over the lights not cgi.

And here are my newest second-hand acquisitions!

First off, "The Iron Giant".
I haven't seen it so far, but it seems to have quite some fans, so, what I heard from it is cool!

The others, which I'm a bit afraid about, are movie 3 and 4 of "An American Tail".

I really like the first two movies and thus I'm even more afraid that more direct-to-videos releases screw it up

BUT I'll see soon and even if they're bad, I'm still gonna love the first two! ♥️

Today marks the 24th anniversary of The Iron Giant, released #OTD after it premiered at Mann's Chinese Theater in Los Angeles on July 31. Still one of the most beautiful, deep, emotional, and thought-provoking films in animation, and beyond.
