Y, como ya estábamos cansaditos, decidimos ver a #TheHives para cerrar el primer día.
Mientras tocaban, resultaban tan tremebundos como siempre, pero el dinámico cantante Pelle Almqvist empezó a demorar el bolo entre canciones cada dos por tres, recurriendo a arengarnos con frecuencia y a soltarnos chorradas como llamarnos "askenitos", "mi hente", etc.
Lo que pensaban algunos es que, o bien Pelle estaba sin resuello, o bien necesitaba darle aire al batería Chris Dangerous, que aún se resiente de ciertos problemas respiratorios derivados de una antigua operación de estómago.

So I have spun the new #TheHives record "The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons" one time. It is typical Hives record with some weaknesses as it progresses. But in general: if you like the Hives, you'll like this one as well.

The Hives' website is pretty stylized and badass (the screenshots below don't even do it justice - the scrolling marquee at the bottom of every page is strikingly rad, even on mobile).
I just read their new updated bio page (https://www.thehives.com/biography) about their new album that's out next Friday, 'The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons' (the namesake of which is this mysterious dude who's supposedly written all their songs). It's their first record in 10 years and from the first few songs (a couple of which I've talked about here), wow. Beyond psyched to finally hear the whole thing next week.
