"These Eyes" is a song by the Canadian #rock band #theGuessWho. The song was co-written by the group's lead guitarist #RandyBachman and lead singer #BurtonCummings and originally included on the band's 1969 album #WheatfieldSoul. It was first released as a single (backed by a tribute to #GordonLightfoot titled "Lightfoot"), in their native Canada, where its chart success ( #7), along with the influence of #CKLWAM Windsor's radio station music director #RosalieTrombley.

"Stand Tall" is an international hit single by #BurtonCummings from his eponymous debut album. The song was released less than two years after "Dancin' Fool", the final hit single by the group for which Cummings had been lead singer, #TheGuessWho. The recording was issued as the album's lead single in the fall of 1976, spending 21 weeks on the US Billboard Hot 100 and reaching number 10. It reached number 5 on the US #CashBox Top 100.

“Polio swept through #Winnipeg in the early ’50s. Neil had it and I did too. So did my brothers. We all had it at the same time. But Neil was always very focused. It didn’t matter what obstacle was there, he overcame it. I felt the same.
Neil and I were among a bunch of teenage guys who were learning how to play guitar and starting #bands in Winnipeg. Every Sunday, there was a #RadioShow called Hello Britain, where they’d play all the top hits from #England. It might be #ShaneFenton And The Fentones or Cliff Richard And #TheShadows. Then it was just The Shadows or #TheOutlaws. We copied all this stuff and played it on stage.
We’d get the bus to the community centre and Neil would be there with #TheSquires. We’d stay there all night and watch them. I was pretty amazed when he started playing the folk clubs on his own. He radically changes his mind and his direction, to the shock of everyone. But then, he’s done this all his life. I used to go the #Riverboat [Coffee House] in #Toronto all the time. I saw #GordonLightfoot, #JoniMitchell and Ramblin’ #JackElliott. It was quite fantastic. I saw Neil many times there, just acoustic. I’d think, ‘Yeah, he can do it. He can be a folk singer.’
When I left in ’65 to tour the States with #TheGuessWho I sent a note back to Neil, saying, “You gotta get out of town. This is where you really get appreciated.” So he left and went to #ThunderBay, then #FortWilliam, and met #StephenStills. Then – boom – he started #BuffaloSpringfield.”

"American Woman" is a song by the Canadian #rock band #theGuessWho. The song was released in January 1970 on the album #AmericanWoman. It was released again in March 1970 as a single backed with "No Sugar Tonight", and it reached number one for three weeks commencing May 9 on both the United States' Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian #RPM magazine singles chart. #Billboard magazine placed the single at number three on the #YearEndHot100SinglesOf1970 list.

"No Time" is a song by Canadian #rock band #theGuessWho, composed by guitarist #RandyBachman and lead singer #BurtonCummings. There are two versions of the song. The original recording was done for the Guess Who's album #CannedWheat, but it is the re-recording featured on the #AmericanWoman album that was released as a single in 1969 and is the better-known. It is slightly faster in tempo and has the two verses transposed, but the extended Bachman guitar solo was cut.
