I keep this minifig on top of my screen in my home office, so when I look up and out the window, I see it.
With the blue skies behind, and #TeMatatini this week, it reminds me of a more hopeful time when I saw how good people _can_ be when led with care and compassion. ❤️

Surprised Stuff or RNZ didn’t do a live blog of Te Matatini today. They live blog sports, disasters, the Oscars… But our biggest cultural event? Almost silence on their front pages. One nice thing about today being a rain day is I have an excuse to sit inside and watch #TeMatatini today.
It’s a festival and competition celebrating Māori culture and traditions.
If you’ve ever seen a haka video on the internet it’s like a whole week of that sort of thing.
