ME on the 2019 #PuertoRico protests and #generalStrike that brought down the government of Ricardo Rosselló, not only as a consequence of #Telegramgate but because he was the most corrupt governor the island had to put up with ―even more corrupt than his own father, a George Bush wannabe.

Bad Bunny, Ricky Martín and René Pérez were instrumental in coalescing all La Isla’s opposition & taking the protests worldwide with their media connections.

how are folks paying rent, mortgages, health care, food without income?

Strike Funds existed for a reason. that’s why Puerto Ricans chose a different strategy & succeeded.

GENERAL STRIKES ONLY WORK WHEN MOST WORKERS ARE UNIONIZED. they aren't en La Isla. learn from Puerto Ricans. continued, decentralized protest is the way to go.

after #Telegramgate broke, a major protest march was organized by students and feminist groups. about 100,000 Puerto Ricans showed up, which is not unheard, and so the political elites downplayed it.

but as the cacelorazos went by, day in and day out, and unions, civic organizations, churches, and celebrities like Bad Bunny and Ricky Martín joined the cause, a second march was called and 1 MILLION PUERTO RICANS SHOWED UP.
