For the most part, I am a serious advocate for the US adopting SI units. I've traveled all over, lived abroad and dealing with meters and kilometers and so on was really not a problem.
However, I do like Fahrenheit for temperature -- Celsius makes scientific sense, but humans just don't deal with negative numbers well, and so many live in places where part of the year you have negative temperatures. With Fahrenheit, most of humanity could express every temperature they encounter with a positive 2-digit number.
