I was a little sceptical because Black’s dark-squared bishop in g7 is so passive: the risk that Black’s activity just peters out is very high. However, Leela kept things going beautifully and some tactics freed the bishop leading to an equal position with unbalanced material.

In fact, up to White's 20th move, it followed a Leela-Stockfish game I ran in October 2022 while preparing "Re-Engineering the Chess Classics"! That game continued 20.Nc3 Nf6 21.Kh3 Nh5 22.Qf2 Nxd3 23.cxd3 Bxg2+!! which Fish turned into a forced-looking win (very complex!)
