FreeDOS "runs" on an 8088 PC but anyone who's tried knows its slow and unusable
SvarDOS has long tried to cut FreeDOS down for early machines but they recently gave up and revived the DR-DOS kernel

Got #SvarDOS installed and online! Tried a different packet driver for the Intel NIC and that worked.

I today released Free #FDISK 1.3.10. This fixes some incompatibilities with quirky controller<->disk combinations.
If you encountered disk io errors with FDISK before, please give it a try.
Some specific hardware that caused trouble: 250GB 2,5" Seagate HDD attached via SATA<->IDE bridge to a VIA Aladdin V chipset (Pentium MMX class Super Socket 7 Board).
