Locals decry plans to build military grounds near the Suwalki Gap.

The 70-km-wide Suwalki Gap connects the Baltic states with Poland and is flanked by Russia’s Kaliningrad and Belarus on either side.

Residents of the Kapčiamiestis in Lithuania are worried about plans to establish a military training area.

Officials previously said the area could potentially be seized in the event of a military conflict.

People: Mark Rutte isn’t warmongering. It’s rather the fact that Putin & Trump probably have some sort of a new Molotov-Ribbentropp agreement.

#Russia is going to try take the #Baltics no matter what. If Putin succeeds in Ukraine, he’ll maybe wait for a while, but if he loses he’ll lash out anyway, but weaker.

To take the #SuwalkiGap can be done with even the worst army of the world, sheer meatgrinder, unless there’s a sizable army there. But there isn’t and Trump is sizing it down
