Eric Ballesteros, an MIT PhD student, poses in the style of Doctor Octopus. Together with his advisor, Harry Asada, he is creating SuperLimbs — a pair of robotic limbs that extend from a spacesuit's backpack. These are limbs, not extra arms. They are designed to help with movement in low gravity.

Il MIT ha sviluppato SuperLimbs, arti robotici indossabili che promettono di rivoluzionare l'esplorazione spaziale. Ispirati evidentemente al Doctor Octopus di Spiderman, questi "tentacoli high-tech" aiutano gli astronauti a rialzarsi in ambienti a bassa gravità, migliorano la mobilità e riducono l'esposizione alla tossica polvere lunare.
