About once a year, I downgrade the family netflix subscription to the basic one that lets one person use it at a time because my wife is the only person who actually watches it with any regularity.
About 6 months later, two people try to use it and my wife hits the ceiling. We have a calm discussion during which I explain that this is NOT a new change, it took 6 months for her to even notice. She accepts my point, but then says "We don't have to always be cheap about everything, I am willing to pay for this". We then upgrade the account back to the highest tier, she doesn't pay, I do.
This is now year three of this particular cycle.
