Music on my iPod Nano 3rd gen, synced from my collection that lives on my NAS server, ebooks on my XTEINK 4, synced from my collection, you guessed it, that also lives on my NAS server. That’s reading and listening without surveillance, completely offline. I like. Back to the Future we wanted, not the one that we got instead :)
Oh. And all files legal. Music is paid for, ebooks are paid for or public domain from the Gutenberg project.

Come on #Amazon. All I want is to pay money (not to Apple) for some MP3s preferably FLACs but either would be acceptable. This is the closest I've come. SIX links only three for the version i want but all three connect to playing it on streaming in spite of the text.
Can't find where else to even buy an MP3. It's kinda scary how the industry has been sucked up by streaming subscriptions.
Just wanna buy it 1x and have it but apparently that's too much to ask.

@mactanaka Let me preface this by saying that I am a developer as well. Just like you, I make my living selling software but not on the App Store. That is a differentiating factor.
I don't understand the logic. Charge more for your software upfront. $3 is too cheap. I buy software for the features that it has now, not for features that may come in the future. If you ship a new feature that you feel is worthy of charging and I want it, then I am happy to pay for that. #subscriptionfatigue

I occasionally think about this game. If you’ve played it, you may have been born during the same overall period as I have. We could even “connect” over this. Notice other similarities. Maybe you have similar relationships to today’s young adults (I thoroughly enjoy their company… even when I feel some distrust based in #ageism.)
