  1. Well, we managed to get through Episode One in one sitting! And ended on both a cliffhanger and an explosion again :blobcatGooglyFine:

In summary, I'm not sure if things even got any worse (or better) today. Both situations seem… kind of… equally fucked? :blobcatSmileSweat:

  4. Hm. I'm not sure about this yet, but maybe the story will indeed be about Shio again. Or at least related to her :blobcatThinking:

Either way, we did a much-needed gear upgrade today. Two pieces (the Divine/Spark scythe and the buckler) are now at Rank 11, which is the highest level we currently have access to. Especially the scythe got some sweet improvements out of that upgrade :blobcatThumbsUp:

  5. And, sure enough, we finished up with Half-Life 2, and also cleared the Lost Coast tech demo. Sweet!

The ending was more abrupt than I had expected it would be, truth be told. But maybe that's because there's still Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Life 2: Episode Two to go through. So we'll see if the abrupt ending of the main game makes sense.

  8. Aaaand I didn't. But we made it about half-way there. Roughly. By causing an uprising. And being gone for a week. Yes, these two are connected. Though not necessarily in the way you expect :blobcatDerpy:

And yes, I spent way too much time on that plaza before finding that one door at the very far end. If I hadn't been essentially told where to go, I would still be stuck with this :nachonekoBaa:

  11. Alright, yeah, at most two hours of free missions seems to work out fairly okay. Especially when I focus on the ones that I need for materials.

We also made some actual progress in the story today! Brendan, too, is now back home alive and well, and we have even found new signs of Lindow—we even encountered him face-to-face… well, sort of. You'll understand if you watch the recording.

Despite the abysmal drop rates of the items I still need to upgrade my gear, I'll stick to the limit of two hours for free missions next time as well. Maybe we'll even manage to get to the end of the second story arc :blobcatBongo:

  12. And not get through Ravenholm, we did. Now it's back to fighting the Combine, and we have gone via Highway 17 to arrive at the high-security prison turned *waves arms* "you will see when you get there" of Nova Prospekt.

So far, we have become the… leader? queen? of a pack of antlions who dutifully storm to their deaths and then get replaced by a new one shortly after. Despite, or maybe because of, the antlions being present, I still manage to get hit. A lot :blobcatDerpy:

Next time, we'll pick up the chapter Entanglement, which the Half-Life wiki describes as chapter 9a of 13. So there still is a bunch of stuff ahead of us. Not sure if I'll be able to finish this next time.

  16. Well, I ended up doing mostly story missions today. Only one free mission, but I cleared that multiple times to compensate. In hopes of getting an Imperial Crown from the Dyaus Pita. Which did not happen. Sadge.

Oh, well. Next time we'll probably try again a few times :blobcatSmileSweat:

I was about to recommend you switch over to @kallashearwater's anniversary stream, but as it turns out, she just finished up.

  17. And thus, the first Half-Life 2 stream concludes.

We arrived at City 17, got (chased) out of City 17, and took the scenic route with the air boat. Then we showed a Hunter-Chopper who's boss. Following that, we arrived at Black Mesa East, left Black Mesa East (involuntarily), and are now in the process of not going through Ravenholm. Fun times so far!

And we didn't even cause a Resonance Cascade this time around! 🎉

  18. Well… we exclusively did story missions for a change today.

For some reason, everyone keeps talking about looking for Lindow, but somehow we are still doing that. Even 5 story missions later.

Anyway, Today's missions went mostly well, with just one having been a bit scuffed. I believe this may have to do with my choice of weapons, what with the Scythe dealing blade damage exclusively and the guns I use being very piercing-focused. But I will not falter! Well, at least with the choice of my melee weapon, that is.

  19. Well, err… we spent the entire stream with Free Missions. So the answer to the question from before is: a few relationship dialogues, but apart from that? Nothing. Some missions were quite dicey, though, so you might still get some entertainment from watching the recordings.

…maybe I should have spent a little less time on new bullets, but the Bottom Corner bullets appear to be surprisingly effective!

  20. Well, I'd say we did more story today than last time, but not by a whole lot. Besides assisting the folks from the 2nd unit and welcoming two new New-Type God Eaters to the company, we also found out what happened right after Lindow got attacked by Aragami in the Moon in the Welkin mission.

Oh, and Dr. Sakaki made a “First Love Drink”, whose taste has provoked pretty much just two reactions: either it's the best one they had, or completely inedible. No idea which of the two Mayumi belongs to, but seeing how they shared a can with Ren, I would say it's the former.

  21. So, uh, there isn't a lot to summarize today, since like 75% of the stream was me going through non-story missions, but we did find out what may be going on with Lindow!

Because he has been out in the field for so long, and he has no access to the P53 Bias Factor, he is likely slowly being consumed—or, well, devoured—by the Oracle cells in his body. This will turn him into an Aragami eventually. Let's hope we can get to him and give him a yet-to-be-found treatment to make sure that doesn't happen, eh?

On other news: That Urgent Mission with half a truckload of different Kongou is still tough to get through :blobcatGooglyMlem:

    #streamSummary #godEater #godEaterResurrection

  22. And with that, today's stream is over.

Apparently, there is an Aragami out there that can apparently resurrect regenerate! Current theories about this are that it has multiple cores or that it can re-form a removed core quickly.

Also, we've seen glimpses of Lindow! He seems to be alive, though I wouldn't necessarily say he's well. Seems to be walking around several areas with a… God Arc that is fused with his right arm?

And then there's a new, upbeat New-Type God Eater who joined us recently: Ren. Ren seems to have joined the Medical Unit and is an Aragami researcher, but is significantly less powerful when it comes to healing than Kanon—though that may be due to the difference in experience and personal abilities. We'll see.

  23. Oh err, my bad. It wasn't the Aegis Project we wanted to stop per se; It was the Ark Project. Well. But we finished the first story arc today (the one of the original God Eater game), so if you want to know more, you'd better check out the stream recording :blobcatWink:

On Friday, we'll continue with the second arc, which originates from the first remaster: God Eater Burst.

  24. Well, err, that Dyaus Pita x Prithvi Mata mission sure was touch and go :blobcatSweats: But hey, we got through it. Barely.

On other news: Shio is now... away because she sensed something at Aegis Island that made her want to devour it. Surely this doesn't have anything to do with "the 'Project'" (as Director Schicksal calls it) and him sending us out to terminate an exceptionally intelligent and dangerous Aragami, right? Right?

For now, we've been "procrastinating" a bit, taking care of Free missions again, of which there are still two left over that we'll tackle next time. Two (sort of) asshole missions where the targets don't have shared vulnerabilities. Oh, well. I hope we'll manage.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #godEater #godEaterResurrection

  25. Hm. So when Director Schicksal said that these special assignments needed to be done in utmost secrecy and on my own, he meant without the main members of the squad? Because I could still roll out with Kanon, Tatsumi and Shun this time :blobcatThinkingGlare: I mean, I appreciate I didn't have to face this Aragami on my own, but… that's kind of odd, isn't it?

On other news: We got Shio out of the rags she's been in! She got an absolutely adorable dress/shorts combo made by Licca from Aragami materials we… procured, and she was so happy she burst into song. Soma and her also seem to have some sort of connection going. I'm happy for them!

Next time, it looks like we might encounter a certain someone again. While we head out to clear our first Difficulty 6 mission. Let's see how that goes.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #godEater #godEaterResurrection

  26. So, turns out the Blaze loadout which I thought was not particularly effective is actually pretty powerful? What the heck? :blobcatGooglyMlem:

Also, we're starting to see the first variations in the pain-in-the-ass Aragami, i.e. Borg Camlann and Sariel. Though I suppose our equipment is also coming along, so it remains to be seen how I perform against them :m249Shrug:

On other news: Shio is going to join us for a mission. Dr. Sakaki called it a date—a joyous occasion for everyone! The mission: Get food for Shio. Sounds easy, right?

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #godEater #godEaterResurrection

  27. And fight Aragami, we did. Even took one home! They're now sitting in the “Forbidden Area”, now renamed to “Observation Area”, and is located next to Dr. Sakaki's desk. So far, they haven't eaten us. Or the base, for that matter. So far.

On other news: We became the personal lapdogs of Dr. Sakaki now that Director Schicksal is currently elsewhere. And he wants us to keep this Aragami secret from others, including Director Schicksal. What's going on between these two?

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #godEater #godEaterResurrection

  28. Well, I decided to keep today's stream short, but we got a bunch of missions cleared nonetheless. 6 free missions and 2 or 3 story missions by my count. Not much, but for a 2-hour stream, it's decent. Either way, my eyes wouldn't have kept up if I had continued :blobcatSleepless:

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeartHug:

    #streamSummary #godEater #godEaterResurrection

  29. Yup, we seem to have helped Alisa enough to get her back on two feet in active service. And almost got killed in the process. Yay?

And then, we also got promoted to captain (or sergeant? the game isn't really clear; the dialogue said captain, but the squad overview says sergeant, and sergeant would make more sense as a squad leader, so… :ChenShrug:). Director Schicksal also hung a Sword of Damocles called “special missions” over our head that I'm absolutely dreading already because I am absolutely no good on my own, but alas. So far, we haven't been forced to take one on. So far.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #godEater #godEaterResurrection

  30. Hm. A handful of lore reveals, but nothing incredibly surprising. Alisa (no, brain, it's still not Amiya!) is on her way towards recovery. She is scheduled to rejoin 1st squad for (story) missions after we clear one more training mission with just the two of us. The first training mission was horrible, the second one was okay, so the third one can only be mind-blowing, right? We'll find out on Friday.

  31. Aragami have, indeed, been nommed.

Didn't make too much story progress today, but there have been a few changes to the... available characters. Lindow and Alisa (well, the non-extra characters at least) are currently unavailable for reasons I don't want to spoil. Both can be guessed with knowledge from the God Eater anime, though.

Got a couple of hunts on multiple medium-size Aragami done today, too, and Kanon really is the MVP of today. Both in terms of accidental area-of-effect friendly fire and critical healing. Can't beat being in the middle of two Kongou, one Chi-You, and one Gboro-Gboro with Kanon keeping you alive throughout your knuckle brawl with four Aragami that are at least three times as tall as you :blobcatJustRight:

    #streamSummary #godEater #godEaterResurrection

  32. I may or may not have spent more time out-of-mission than I did with the missions themselves today. That may or may not become a trend. Damn, there are so many customization options for ranged weapons that I didn't even know existed

Anyway, we just got started with the story today. Met the major characters, got the first few relationship events, apparently. Got used to combat in this game, sort of. Not much has happened, though we've already seen our first God Eater get killed by an Aragami. RIP.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #godEater #godEaterResurrection

  33. Damn, I forgot to count. It was a considerable number, though. Anyone want to find out for me? :neocat_laugh_sweat:

Anyway, believe it or not, we finished up with Bastion today! I don't think I can reveal much, except that Army Carbine + Machete is an amazing combo whose possibilities I most likely didn't exhaust to any degree. What I can reveal, though, is that I had a great time going through the game. The… unusual music was quite refreshing, and having Rucks narrate a lot of things was a great idea in my opinion.

However, all good things come to an end eventually. This happened with Bastion, too.

Since I only spent two streams going through the game, though, I won't do another game selection poll for now and instead proceed with the next-highest ranking game from the last one for this stream slot. That would be…

    :newLeft: Rusted Moss :newRight:

From what I saw of the game, it's a 2D platformer whose core feature is an elastic grappling hook with physics simulation. Let's see how much I will struggle with that, compared to Kitsune Tails, hmm? :blobcatSmileSweat:

The first stream for Rusted Moss will be on January 2, 2026 if the Monday stream will be with whatever game comes out of the current game selection poll. Otherwise, it will take place on January 5~

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream, and the Bastion streams in general. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

(Oh, and on the topic of game selection polls, the one for the other slot is still live for about another 24 hours, so if you haven't voted on it yet… :blobcatWink:)

    #streamSummary #bastion

  34. Well, now that was an interesting start into the game. I really like the narration on this one; It has style.

We found all the cores today, basically restoring the Bastion all the way, and also found a few other survivors of the Calamity, first and foremost Rucks who is at the same time the narrator (which I find really cool). Then we found Zulf, an ambassador from the Ura people. And finally Zia, an Ura singer born and raised in Caelondia.

But now, the Bastion's Monument is barely holding together, Zulf has left, and we're busy patching the Monument up with shards. However, we got a pet that can follow us around the Bastion out of this.

  35. And that is that for Evoland 2. Next Wednesday, we'll start with Evoland 2! :tone_reference:

Since we're done with the game now, I'll put up another game selection poll for this stream slot shortly. To determine what game I'll play next Wednesday :blobcatThinkingSmart:

Like I mentioned on-stream, I liked Evoland 2 quite a lot, though of course there were also sections that I could have done without (*coughs*StreetFighter*coughs*). Definitely worth the money and time I spent on this.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream and the stream series in general. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #evoland #evoland2

  36. Well, then! That's a whole Magi key assembled. Then we removed the Weapon's existence from time with the help of Ceres, and now she wants to do… what? I guess the game hasn't quite reached its conclusion yet.

    #streamSummary #evoland #evoland2

  37. Phew. Two fragments obtained. And probably tens of thousands of pirates defeated in hand-to-hand brawling. Damn. I just don't know how we're going to proceed from here, but that's a problem for future mezzo :blobcatEnjoy:

  38. Well, find it we did…

But now we have a new MacGuffin, namely the mysterious Magi Key. What do we need it for, I hear you ask? *gestures wildly* Magic. I don't want to spoil too much, so go check out the recording if you're interested.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

  39. I don't quite believe it myself, but I... I managed to clear the Street Fighter segment! Having realized that button mashing won't do me any good, I switched over to trying to time the low kicks just right so that I juggle the Prophet. Worked semi-well, and still took me a significant investment of brain cells, patience, and sanity, but in the end we cleared the boss. FINALLY.

Then, we headed to Magi Isle, ended up travelling back to "our" time (i.e. the one where Kuro and Fina met up in), but lost Morio somewhere along the way. In his stead, Maria joined up with us, and we set out to prevent the Great Disaster from happening.

One thing led to another, and now we're in an abandoned (but active) lab that is said to house the Weapon.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #evoland #evoland2

  40. Turns out, if you break a Megalith Magilith, you might also end up in the future! Because that's what happened. Then, there were some odds and ends that I needed to get through, and beyond some major skill issues at platforming and medium skill issues with bullet hell, I actually managed...

    ...until Street Fighter came up.

    For fuck's sake.

I can't, for the love of me, play Street Fighter (or similar fighting games, for that matter).

Button mashing got me through the first phase of this boss okay enough, but the second phase is just... infuriating. Seems like this sentiment is also shared with some people on the Steam forums, and it doesn't look like there's a "be-all end-all" way of beating this boss. Fun times.

Guess we'll find out next week if it's too hard for me even on the lowest difficulty. I honestly have no idea what I would do in that case

Anyway. Except for this last part, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream (my vocal cords did not :tehepero:). Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #evoland #evoland2

  41. I have no idea how far it is we've come, but I feel like we've come a decent way in today's stream. Turns out, Evoland 2 is not a lot like Evoland, what with it focusing more on story than on unlocking game features. Maybe I'd call it a more "mature" Evoland, though I didn't dislike the feature unlocking in Evoland. Hm. Hard to describe.

Either way, we have travelled back in time after some demons wanted to wreak havoc to our companion (yes, a real companion this time!) Fina's village, and have joined up with the demon Morio. We accompanied him through a city in lock-down, through a haunted forest, to his people's camp, and that's where we left it for today.

I'm having a lot of fun, despite the fact that Evoland 2 is different from its predecessor.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #evoland #evoland2

  42. Alright, we got the magic amulet together and even got to play as Kaeris for a bit. And then we finished the game. As usual, no summary because of spoilers (though, to be honest, there's not much to spoil at this point :mwee:). Check out the recording if you want to see what happened in the last two hours. I might even manage to publish it before I head to bed!

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #evoland

  43. Alright, we went from the first, to the second, to the third dimension, have unlocked features of the game bit by bit, and are now in the phase of the MacGuffin. “Go there, talk to that person.”—“Oh no, that person doesn't know, talk to this other person instead.”—“Now you need to find the two parts of the magic thingamajig, get to it!” And all the while we have our split personality companion barely recognize us as a human being :blobcatGoogly:

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

    #streamSummary #evoland

  44. And so, we managed to clear the game with four endings obtained: Bacchus's, Myuria's, Reimi's, and Sarah's endings. It took a while again (almost an extra 2 hours), but there was a lot of cutscene content, too. I didn't measure the time, but I wouldn't be surprised if 25–30% of today's recording is just cutscenes :blobcatGoogly:

As usual, no summary for this stream, because spoilers and, well, it's the finale of the stream series.

As last week, this also means I'll put up a game selection poll shortly. Check it out if you're interested in having a say in what I play on Friday.

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

  45. Since I'm still technically recuperating, I cut today's stream short so I can get to bed a bit earlier.

Yes, I know what you're going to say. Yes, I was also sick on Monday. No, Monday's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 stream which clocked in at 6.5 hours in the end was an outlier and should not have been counted.

After all, in the two hours of Star Ocean today we managed to make our way to and take down another Grigori (which was… surprisingly easy and I don't know why) and concoct a plan on how to prevent the further spread of the Grigori.

As Ex/Giotto/the Morphus have found out, there appears to be some planet-like (?) very dark structure (?) which apparently receives life energy that the Grigori collect. That structure then amplifies the energy, and forwards it to the Missing Procedure (the entity inside a black hole—or something—that's apparently responsible for the Grigori) to generate more Grigori. Using that energy, the cycle repeats.

Because I forgot the name, I tried to look it up on the Internet, and thanks to IGN I now know that next time, we're probably going to be greeted by a 45-minute-long series of cutscenes. So prepare yourself mentally if you plan to join me next time.

Finally, don't forget to vote on the current game selection poll if you haven't already!

As always, I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:

  46. Well, not a lot of things happened today, partly because I cut the stream short to go easy on my vocal cords.

However, we did set out for and eventually arrive at En II. And that despite a short interruption by Phantom craft that would almost have spelled the Calnus' demise, were it not for Lightspeed Kenny showing up (actually, we never met, don't let anyone tell you otherwise).

Then, I trekked all across En II, had three of my fancy vases smashed, and built a guitar for a friend of Myuria :blobcatEnjoy:

And eventually, our chat with the consciousness of the Morpheus came to an abrupt end when a Grigori hit En II and embedded itself in an area called the "Sanctuary". That's where we're headed next time. No clue what it is, but I suppose we will find out.

I hope everyone enjoyed today's stream. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart: And if you're still looking for more entertainment, go check out Kalla's latest video!

  47. Well, shit. I forgor to delete Friday's recording, and because of that, today's recording cut out during the boss fight at the end. Yeehaわない :pensive_cowboy:

Essentially, what happened beyond the end of the recording is that I managed to beat the boss first try (though it did take some more time). During the post-battle cutscene, we saw how the Phantoms were massacring the Eldar refugees, and Faize desperately departed the Aquila in a Sol fighter craft to aid his fellow people. He shot down one Phantom craft, then ran into another one that had its guns trained on his craft. He saw a beam of light coming towards him and— that's where that part of the cutscene ended. Certainly looks like a bad situation, but we haven't seen him dead yet :02_shrug:

On other news: I managed to clear the first Phantom encounter, after only an accumulated bazillion times! I was actually surprised after I cleared it.

Also, we met with Crowe, who took Faize with him into orbit (and then the above happened), but in exchange we got the other main character energy Eldari called Arumat, the fellow from that one armoured company that I predicted will be an opponent at some point. Well, so far he has not become an enemy, I suppose :m249Shrug:

  48. So we got Ecchi up to Lv50, Reimi to Lv49, Myuria to Level45-ish and Sarah to Lv44. I hope that's going to help with the next attempt of the Phantom encounter. I really don't want to have to do this again :g36Sleeping:

And if you're still looking for some entertainment, why not stop by @kallashearwater's stream? She's still live with Twisted Wonderland!

  49. “Again.” Yeah. “Again” really was the theme of today's stream.

We went through the lower-level parts of Aeos again to get a decent Bonus Board going.

Then cleared the area up to that save point where the game crashed last time again.

After trying the next encounter once, and then again, I decided I wasn't powerful enough and hence looked up recommendations on the Internet, improved the equipment, then cleared the path yet again.

Only to fail the encounter again.

Yeah. Fun times. The only thing that didn't happen this time was the game crashing. Well. It's not much, but it's something :phoenixSigh:

  50. Well, now that was annoying. Just moments before hitting a save point, the game (and Steam, for reasons unknown) crashed. Just like that. Which was, to an extent, convenient, because I was yawning like crazy, but also quite annoying, because I already cut the stream short, and now we have to pick up the last… *checks recording* 45 minutes of content during the next stream. :phoenixSigh:

If you're interested in the roaming and handing in of side quests anyway, or would like to see how far I got before the game crashed, by all means, do check out the recording, but I don't expect anyone to actually watch that.

As always, despite the short stream, I hope that everyone enjoyed it. Thank you all for joining :blobcatHeart:
