    Finally found a way to disable autoplay on the homescreen of the TikTok app on Android 🥰

    Bonus points for it being an arse-backwards method 🤭

    Steps:

    • Patched a version of the app apk using ReVanced Manager.
    • Open TikTok and press on Profile > menu (hamburger) icon > Settings and privacy > ReVanced settings.
    • Under Feed filter, click on The minimum or maximum views of a video to show.
    • Set minimum number to an impossibly-high value (e.g., 99999999999).
    • Whilst you're there, you may also want to enable the below:
      • Remove ads from feed
      • Hide TikTok shop from feed
      • Hide livestreams from feed
      • Hide story from feed
      • Hide image video from feed

    Now you can use TikTok without it autoplaying videos on loading 😁

    Explore, Following, Friends, and Search still work perfectly.
