I can finally play #chess with #stockfish on this #ICandy #Dashboard that I created using #Claude4 #Sonnet. What would have taken a month to develop only took me 2 days. Who says #AIs are bad? AIs bring freedom to humans. We don't need to be controlled by the big corporations in the Silicon Valley. I am only paying $200 for Claude pro. It took me less than a week to create this Candy Dashboard. I will keep adding features like mail check, #mastodon, a clock, ... to it. Goodbye #desktop. #AI

Can #Claude4 #Sonnet finish building the #Stockfish #AI #chess #engine app for my #ICandy #browser widget panel app in one day? We have been working very hard all afternoon. It just ran out of quota and I need to wait 5 hours for it to resume its hard work again. I will be playing with my dog and then do some reading on x86 Assembly prepared by Sonnet. Then I will work with Sonnet again. #Computers make some people smarter, but some dumber, so do #AIs. So, don't blame #AIs.

Очень люблю играть в шахматы. Давно играю десятиминутки на chess.com. Но мой предел — в районе рейтинга 1500. И все потому, что много «зеваю». Вот если ли бы рядом был советчик, уберегающий от глупых зевков... А что, если прикрутить шахматный движок, чтобы он подсказывал в трудной позиции? Это нечестная игра, но с ботами любого рейтинга в качестве обучения — не возбраняется. То есть нужно поставить движок, как-то прочитать шахматную позицию из браузера, передать ее движку, получить ответ за разумное время. Давайте разбираться

Dass eingebaute #Stockfish in chess.com kann die heutige #Schachaufgabe selbst nicht lösen. Zu viele Opfer, so dass die Branchsuchtiefe nicht ausreicht.

I have always wondered if computers would still beat humanity at chess if they had to run on 20 Watts (that's what the brain consumes). It seems a fairer playing ground than sitting across a TPU array. How many Raspberry Pis does Stockfish need to beat Magnus Carlsen?

Assertions that AI will replace all the people in prestige, status, hierarchy, and dominance games (e.g. law, investment, arts), is pretty strongly refuted by the existence of Stockfish.

Stockfish can basically beat all the chess players, yet people continue to play chess. Ditto AlphaGo/go.

People will either just integrate (and make rules about) the new tools, like we have all the other tools, and move on
