  6. What’s the best examples of large observational studies that get their pseudocausal claims disproven by studies with careful causal inference methods or RCTs? The first that comes to mind is the apparent protective effect of moderate alcohol consumption vs abstinence. #metascience #statsky #medsky

  7. Meta analyses is primarily useful to increase power. They do not reduce bias and there are loads of problems when using the framework to aggregate data from observational studies. Rarely informative IMHO. #statsky #cardiosky
