    The Marxist #JVP and it's coalition #NPP wins big in #SriLanka. This is a very positive news. Given that they are able to garner support across diverse linguistic and ethnic groups, this mandate should bring in major economic and developmental changes, based on the socialist ideology.

    #SriLankaElections #lanka so much less Lanka folks on Mastodon than was on Twitter. But big election on with big results, the leftist NPP party leader won, so now President Dissanayake gets the chance to try to fix the political system, put limits on the mostly corrupt rich, strengthen the power of working people, and heal or at least not inflame the ethnic tensions.
