π§ Like adding spices to a meal, adding promoters to a solid catalyst can have a very important effect on the final result. Yet, the fundamentals of the interplay of active metals and promoters often remain unknown.
π¬ We have investigated the Ga-promotion of Cu particles for methanol synthesis from carbon dioxide and hydrogen and found a complex dynamic alloying and de-alloying under working conditions.
