@diazona 😆 I believe this. It literally feels as if they filmed the first 2/3 of the script, ran out of money, and the producers just said, “Screw it. Close enough. Ship it. The kids will all be making out in the drive-in by then. Nobody will ever notice.”

Holy cow, I should've looked up that runtime beforehand: one hour and eleven minutes. And about 1/3 of that stock footage with voice-over narration.

I swear I thought we were still in the second act.

Big thanks to @Taweret for the film tonight; the second unofficial feature looks like a better film, but I'm off to bed.

At least we had both smoking *and* coffee! And a monkey, semi-traumatized. A nice police procedural with a side of space fungus.

I'm about 20 minutes behind the crowd now, and I seem to have stumbled into "Zero Hour" (1957), the movie that "Airplane" was based on.

I expect we'll wander into the "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" episode of "Twilight Zone" next.
