Reimplemented the #BlackMesa sliding mechanic partially into my #SourceSDK 2013 MP #Game today. Still has a bug to fix regarding gaining speed on the floor through strafe sliding not working, but overall it’s quite accurate to the original. Also, you walk at 320 units per second like in Black Mesa whether you like it or not.
Not ready to share the idea or plans for this game I’m making just yet but thought I should share this.

Valve did the thing, they've now made ALL of Team Fortress 2's source code public in the Source SDK for both client and server code. Which now means the TF2 community can make mods and develop patches and updates for the game, to which then Valve can approve or deny at their discretion. Some parts of the Source SDK still has some restrictions, such as viewing of player inventories being read-only, and cannot manipulate the inventory economy and everything made has to be released as Non-Commercial.
This update also includes other Source game titles in the Source SDK also not just Team Fortress 2, you also have to be registered to be a Steamworks developer. The Source SDK can be downloaded from GitHub or via Steam.
