Spoiler: I did not, in fact, "claim", approve, or authorize anything.
Does anyone know what's the best way to make these scammers stop impersonating me?

According to #socialdb .xyz for 16 USD I'm game for you to send me your thing and #review it honestly.
Guess what: if you have a thing that requires reviewing I'm game to be honest* about it at no cost at all.
If you have multiple things: what I could do with right now is a roughly 10sqm garden house kit that can be used three seasons as a guest or chill room. And also new brake pads for a bicycle. And yoghurt. -

@FinchHaven "Are they saying they can write back --> into <-- my Profile page and create a #Verified link back out to them?"
LOL, my profile is already verified, but not through #socialdb. I just pasted my rel=me link to my own website and that's that. Which is exactly how verification works on the fediverse.
This whole scheme is such piss poor scam tactics, and like phishing emails it casts a wide net to find the few suckers who will take the bait.
That said, the site needs to be eliminated.

To be clear, #socialdb does not represent me, and are hawking my social profile for monetisation without my consent.
It's a scam and needs to be wiped from the internet. See also, https://helvede.net/@fanden/117031972749937485
Fuck socialdb.xyz into the ground.

@tofticles Ha ha, so we could all just post hourly updates that #socialdb is utter trash and should be destroyed. See how their shifty marketing goes after that.

Anyone heard of #SocialDB ? Apparently they have #brands that want to sponsor me. They say that they are a Creator Database and already have over 1.8million #influencers.
Is this my chance to become massively, rich, famous and influential? Or do I smell a rat?

I did NOT get any email from them.
Imagine accepting mail from any .xyz domain… LOL. NO!

RE: https://social.growyourown.services/@FediTips/117010839905800104
I recognize that #SocialDB is an absurd fraud, but I am tempted to “claim” my profile and set my rate to $10e6/post.

FYI, the scammers at #SocialDB also use a bot/crawler targeting "/about" or "/contact" pages on websites, probably to find email addresses to send their message.
Here's the UserAgent:(compatible; SocialDBBot/1.0; +https://socialdb.xyz/about)

Seems like a lot of people have gotten these emails but what's worse is the public profiles they're building, making it look as if everyone was available for "influencer" bullshit such as being paid for sponsored posts, etc. (and without consent, what else). 🤬
I sent them a sternly worded email to "[email protected]" stating that they are misrepresenting me on their site. Asked for immediate removal. It worked.

⚠️ Spammers from a site called SocialDB.xyz seem to be flooding Mastodon members with emails claiming to offer sponsorship opportunities (which is dubious to say the least).
It's probably best to just ignore these emails, report them as spam and do not click on any of their links.
They seem to be getting email addresses from websites mentioned in Mastodon profiles, if the site has a public email address. The spam assumes the linked site belongs to the account owner.

Woke up to rather personalized
#spam in my mailbox. So #socialdb is looking for influencers.
> X-PM-Tag: outreach-influencer
And yes that is sender SPF authorized and passed DKIM.
> dkim=pass (1024-bit key; unprotected) header.d=socialdb.xyz
It's also riddled with tracking.
Be influenced: Block[ed] this shit.
How? I guess it webfingered my blog, which is tied to my indieweb profile referenced here. It didn't pick up on the AP profile of the blog but used it's mail address.
