Jednou z nejrozsáhlejších novinek, kterou v rámci #NAB 2024 BMD uvedl je Blackmagic Ethernet Switch, který vyšel v kombinaci s nekolika konvertory z/do síťového videostandardu SMPTE 2110, čímž BMD výrazně posiluje svou podporu tohoto standardu a podporu IP protokolů obecně.
Blackmagic Ethernet Switch je speciálně navržený pro routing videa v rámci protokolu SMPTE 2110 a podporu dalších zařízení BMD fungujících v rámci IP sítě jako je např. Blackmagic Cloud Store, střižny ATEM nebo rekordéry Hyperdeck.
Routing SMPTE 2110 probíhá na bázi tradičně rozloženého předního panelu připomínající matice Videohub. Zařízení má zároveň HDMI a SDI port na kterých outputuje statusovou obrazovku jednotlivých síťových přípojek.
Switch disponuje 16x 10G Ethernet porty (určenými zejména jako in/out standardu SMPTE 2110) a 2x 100G Ethernet porty pro další vybavení.
Cenově vychází Blackmagic Ethernet Switch na $2,895 , což je při aktuálním kurzu necelých 68 700 Kč nebo 2 716 €

I'm not proud of the wiring job but my awesome clock is hung on the wall, runs, and stays synced to pool.ntp.org. NTP -> #ESP32 -> #SMPTE time code -> ESE clock. The initial clock setup is a pain but a 9 V battery keeps you from having to repeat the process if the clock loses power. Still wish I could find one of the Leitch clocks that has separate motors for each hand.

Some of the panels today at the Silicon Valley Video Summit, and Woz giving the wrap-up keynote.
It was interesting to hear him speaking about his dislike for data sharing, the control of hardware and software being taken out of the hands of users, etc. He is a founder of the EFF so it makes sense. I'll post the talk when it's shared.
