Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you Smaragd, my desktop application for authors.

Inspired by Obsidian, Scrivener and Novelwriter, it is a local first, markdown based editor. It is written in rust, and uses native rust gui framework egui.

Feature-wise, it supports:
- commonmark markdown
- live preview
- Lisa Cron story cards (from the Story Genius book),
- export to docx, epub, pdf
- Obsidian style wikilinks and backlinks
- Pomodoro timer
- Project and document templates
- extensive keyboard shortcuts, assignable

At version 0.5.1 this is considered alpha release, definitively with rough edges. If you take it for a spin, please leave feedback, either here or as a github issue.
