Interesting note in the German Wikipedia article, citing a PCtipp article: the operating system and all software bundled with the Smaky was open source:
„Basic, C/C++, Calm Assembler, Lisp, Logo, Modula 2 and Prolog were among the programming languages. Among other things, the developers created software for file management, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, word processing, drawings and even a Mac emulator. Of course, computer games and educational programs could not be missing. The software catalog grew rapidly – also thanks to the proximity to the scientific community – to several dozen programs.“
