Playing #BrittneyCarter’s #SlumVillage intro for #Timbaland, and Tim falls in love within the first 2 bars. A career defining moment for me.

I usually don’t bring #music work to this platform; it can be a very niche situation. However, in this moment…I am so proud.

#Classical composer #DavidBruce talks about #JDilla. I'm ten minutes in, it's pretty cool. 🎶 👍 😁 #Music #HipHop #Electro #SlumVillage #Detroit #Michigan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dsjuPZsNwQ

Watching 'The Legacy of J Dilla' (FX x NYT). #JDilla simply remains the king. Aside from Madlib, every other hiphop producer makes stuff that is a bit pedestrian in comparison. Great little documentary so far. #hiphop #music #slumvillage #dilla #sampling

Feb 2nd. I like sharing this when someone asks me for a good Dilla beat. It may be the hi-hats that first got me to listen but the way the sample is flipped, the way the drums are nowhere near lined up but still perfect... Yeah!
