This is just one reason the #fediverse is a logical switch.

Numbers matter, but having genuine connection and access is more important than vanity metrics of bot views.

And the fact that those same billionaires are often the root cause of the issue in the first place is another.

The report found that #antisemitism seemed to be more pronounced in branches of the 5university with a #SocialJustice bent, including the graduate school of #education, the #divinity school & the school of #PublicHealth.

A similar task force held hundreds of conversations with #Muslim, #Arab & #Palestinian students, staff & faculty members about anti-Muslim bias. That task force summed up the feelings expressed by many of those people in 2 words: “#abandoned & #silenced.”

📰 Ben & Jerry's is back in court again, and this time it's #suing its parent company #Unilever over accusations that it silenced the #IceCream maker's attempts to express support for a #ceasefire in #Gaza and support #Palestinian #refugees.

In a #lawsuit filed on Wednesday, Ben & Jerry's said Unilever breached the terms of a previous agreement that gave the ice cream company responsibility over its "social mission".

Despite this, Ben & Jerry's said it was #silenced four separate times when it tried calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, advocating for halting US military aid to #Israel, supporting university #students #protesting against Israel's war on Gaza, and supporting the safe passage of Palestinian refugees from Gaza to the UK.
