Salió el corto de Confessions II. Qué viajazo (equivale a tres videoclips si lo hubiera ideado de otra manera).
La película comienza con una imprescindible I Feel So Free en un espacio liminal de backroom para pasar por un allamiento de seres blackmirrorianos. Ahí ocurre la primera transición, uno de los puntos fuertes del cortometraje. Las mejores transiciones desde el video de Break My Heart.
De ahí al campo, a servir pussylaser y ortoláser bajo el influjo de un dance melódico muy bonito, Good For the Soul. Y salto a la ofi, con un florete podría ser parte de Die Another Day pero que es One Step Away, y que se intercala durante una nota larga con un vehículo llevado peligrosamente que deja la huella del lápiz labial a lo Marisa Paredes en el airbag. Aquí los putos ruidos ambientales revientan la escucha.
Del accidente sale, liberada de la peluca de Confessions I, y aparece la Garner, su impersonator. Y Sabrina, el cameo menos cameo. Entonces la pista aparece explícita al contrario que hasta ahora: estamos en el nudo. La canción mejora como nunca antes pero la reina da un triple mortal para ir al baño.
El grueso de los cameos están ahí, en la Danceteria. Se dice que ella anhela triscarse a las mariconas, y a ello va, cambio de outfit Frozen inspired mediante, a hacerle a una mari lo que quiso hacerle a Kortajarena. Satisfecha, sale diciendo cocaine y aparece la Moss, ¡yaaas! Fiestón. Aunque ni Cumberbatch ni el trapero de Read My Lips sirven pollalaser. Bajona.
Luego, cierre blackmirroriano con Lourdes y una pista implícita again.
Para sacar reels va sobrao, y como corto barre. En lo musical solo da de sí como reclamo.

Ahondando, y demostrando que su interés es pasional y no accesorio para fardar en una película, en la verdad del cante popular, la cineasta Carla Simón rodó el cortometraje Flamenco.
En él, se encuentra de alguna manera con el Saura más folclórico, el más enamorado y autoral, sin renunciar a ser ella misma, extendiendo de un modo sutil su mejor largo, Romería.
Carla retrata el flamenco como si describiera una fiebre que aúpa en lugar de agostar. Y lo hace partiendo de lo racial, dejando el primer plano a los orígenes, a su gente, sin adueñarse del son ni del sentir, y desde ahí sumándose y animándonos a sumarnos desde la belleza formal del cine y de su mirada. Da su lugar al flamenco autodidacta y al de escuela, al que nace contigo y al que te atropella, al que suena en la calle y en los teatros, al que llora al muerto y al que lo revive.
Todos vibran, todos resuenan, todos vienen del mismo tronco febril y, por suerte, inmune a los antipiréticos.

Tendríamos que hablar seriamente de lo bueno que es Nacho Sánchez. Y llamo hablar a lo que sería describir una realidad pasmosa. Luego, desearle proyectos contundentes, con un peso suficiente para hacerle brillar. Es un actor dotadísimo que, además, tiene unas facciones acomodadizas que le dan para sumergirse en todos los géneros, vigentes y venideros.
La guionista y directora María Herrera fraguó -y logró con ello la nominación al Goya- el corto El cuento de una noche de verano contando con el intérprete y con Olivia Delcán.
Con un guion directo y de regusto ácido, Herrera regala a Delcán y Sánchez dos personajes de los que, como público, no se sale fácilmente pasados sus veinte minutos. ESE tipo de personajes.
Una noche de verano que comienza y termina de cuento, uno carnal, donde el sexo largo y bastante realista (pese a caer en el cliché artificial de guardar los genitales del objetivo con mantas, posturas retorcidas o cambios de plano ad hoc, como si el cuerpo fuese algo extravagante; aunque peor sería usar postizos) se adueña de todo el nudo, en tanto el amanecer llega, o se escapa tras la persiana.
La pasión requiere de contextos, en plural, según las personas y las situaciones. Porque a veces genera el inicio de algo, su fin o, como en el corto, el nudo. Nudo tiene varias acepciones. Así como los lobos del cuento no siempre se disfrazan, a veces obran con su pellejo a la vista. Porque en la intimidad, en carne viva, somos más frágiles, y por tanto los consensos comunes deberían estar sobre la mesa, sobre la cama, y mantenerse firmes antes, durante y después. Si no es así no es acuerdo, sino cuento.
El amanecer siempre nos alcanza, no necesitamos a nadie para admirarlo.

La memoria enraíza. Sin testimonios perdemos la oportunidad de tocar los orígenes.
Lo que hace Cristina Urgel en el corto La conversación que nunca tuvimos es agarrar un material exiguo y dialogar con él. Así, un entrañable espectro de su pasado reciente, se sienta a la mesa camilla cuando ya parecía pertenecer a ese otro espacio que es el recuerdo, para darles las claves de sus vidas.
Porque lo que no se dice mancha -al menos- tanto como lo expuesto. Y las manchas hay que lavarlas, al menos probar a ver si salen, para quedarse en paz.
Con una breve grabación de la abuela Celia ("Qué me iban a decir: ¡Puta!), la directora y su madre completan medias confesiones que asimilan con tragos de café. Unas notas de voz y unos diálogos derivados de ellas -también parcos, muy castellanos que diría Cristina- marcan el desarrollo, donde tanto el tono como el color de voz de la abuela y de la madre (Cristina, con acierto cinematográfico, ejerce de narradora y guía), clavan y expanden los significados que responden al de dónde venimos anhelado.
El corto evita los rodeos y las emociones desbordadas, y es que no podía hacerse de otra manera, hubiera sido hacerle un feo al sentir castellano de la abuela.

Lleno de elementos románticos, entre Poe y Dickens diremos para situarnos con facilidad, El fantasma de la Quinta llena de sentimientos desbordados e irracionales la pantalla saliendo airoso, sabiendo manejarlos para que lleguen sin adueñarse del sentido de la historia. La narración siempre los sujeta y conduce. Su animación deliberadamente basta contrastando con el minimalismo del entorno, nada barroco, y el jugarse la narración a un solo personaje, en soliloquio interior podríamos decir -delirante, onomatopéyico, pero guiado por una voz narradora-, resultan un acierto de calado a la hora de jugar con las piezas controlando siempre el balance narrativo. Nada satura, se extraña o sobra. Empatizamos y acompañamos en el delirio creativo, y nos preguntamos si vale la pena vivir en el imperio de las pesadillas aun pasando después a la posteridad.
