Mad Ship made me feel hopeful for this trilogy, but Ship of Destiny is dragging again and full of shitty entitled men as the main source of threat. My least favourite trope! The only correct amount of shitty entitled men in a series is one, and that only if they're killed by a slightly deranged ferret in the final book.
Wintrow is at least still interesting in all his tragic misery, whereas Althea and Brashen just make me want to skip all the parts they're in.
I even enjoyed Malta's parts before a shitty, entitled man happened. :'(

Ship of Magic is approaching it's end and Wintrow's fate has me convinced that Hobb not-so-secrectly enjoys the torture of young boys.
He hasn't quite reached Fitz-levels of fuckuppery but there's still two whole books' worth of time.
