watching it again this morning on the big TV, I want to note some more lovely/ touching things:
- The opening shot, that looks like someone's window onto the world, with the clock showing 05:02 (today's date, release date of the song). But it's also a view into an aquarium, with algae growing on the glass, and fish swimming through the smoggy city atmosphere behind Seungmin.
- There's a framed picture on the desk under the window/aquarium. It's too pixelated to be able to tell what it's supposed to be. If it's a pixelated version of a published photo, I guess someone will identify the original photo eventually. But I reckon it's more likely to be a personal photo that hasn't been published. I want to imagine it's someone putting Seungmin in a headlock. 😂
- The video starts off at 4:3 aspect ratio. Partway through. as he arrives at the sea, it switches to 16:9. Like his world is expanding??
- The star during the night-time city walk, falling to talk with him and encourage him. Seungmin loves star symbolism. (In skz symbolism terms, stars seem to be most linked to Seungmin and Bang Chan. There's also a streetlight in that scene, which is a bit of Changbin-linked symbolism.)
- During the line "Even if shards of broken glass pierce into me," pixel Seungmin steps on a piece of broken glass with his left foot (which is the one that is injured at the moment).
- Happy crabs dancing at the shoreline as he approaches the sea. Reminds me of Seungmin's crab dance from the Low Poolside SKZ Code last year. Also a couple of starfish to add to the star symbolism.
- After he dives into the sea, his clothes change from the more formal style into a bright blue casual outfit, and he looks so happy.
- The song is 4 and a half minutes long, which is an epic length considering current kpop song length trends.
I wish the artist was credited in the video description. It's beautifully done, and clearly the work of human artist(s), not AI.
It seems that Seungmin's directed most or all of his recent solo videos (starting with Song By maybe??). Given his love of analog and his dislike of fast-moving and/or automated tech, he'd would probably pitch a fit if JYPE tried to push an AI video concept for one of his solo songs.

#ChansRoom episode from 2019 where #BangChan answers a viewer's request to name the strengths of each skz member:
#LeeKnow likes to help others. He really cares about people around him.
#Changbin if he likes something, he goes really deep into that. For example, when he got into working out, he became really strong within a year of starting.
#Hyunjin similar to Changbin, when he likes something, he keeps studying it. Whether it's practice, dance, singing or music, once he gets interested in something, he works for it.
#Han whatever happens, whether it's good or bad, he's always cool. He moves on easily and starts anew.
#Felix is a friend who cheers up others around him. He's adorable, cute, loving, heart-warming. Chan's little brother who really likes to have fun and to get close with his other brothers, a.k.a. Stray Kids. When he's excited, he's funnier than others.
#Seungmin is caring about others. He's affectionate and cares about members. he has deep thoughts and a big heart.
#I_N is reliable. He sometimes points out truth and it helps them a lot.

@rebelouda I've been struggling to think of another kpop star whose voice I adore anywhere near as much as #seungmin
Yes there are lots of great singers and performers, but the ones I like the best might not work too well in a collab with Seungmin?? not sure.
Other kpop voices that I love: #LeeYoungji, #Hongjoong of ATEEZ, all of #Day6, #Woodz, #Yves, #Taemin
Probably a Day6/Seungmin collab would work best cos their styles are already quite similar.
But I'd be really interested to hear a Seungmin/Hongjoong collab.

The t-shirt, #ChromeHearts babyfat crossball necklace, and hairstyle are the same.
The hoodie isn't present in last year's exam photo, but he was wearing it with that t-shirt & necklace in the skz code episode filmed at the time.
I think it's a new photo in which he's chosen to recreate that exact look from last year, right down to the hairstyle. Reason: his face shape has changed slightly since then. But maybe it looks different due to makeup??
