Um. Whoops.
I bravely did not buy *every* new #skz thing that arrived at #IHeartKpop yesterday.
But I have definitely overspent on #skzMerch this month.
(Not all of it was from I Heart Kpop. Maybe about two thirds??)
Recent acquisitions:
* A #skzLightStick pin to go on my handmade replica of one of #Felix's Louis Vuitton beanies (in place of the LV badge that's on the genuine version)
* #PuppyM beanie (I think this was part of the range sold at the Japanese concerts last year??)
* PuppyM Tamagotchi, that came with a set of 8 photocards
* Red version of HOP album (I already had the blue version)
* Giant version A (with Blu-ray)
* The Sound version A (with Blu-ray)
* Maniac Seoul concert Blu-ray
* Bonus photo cards with purchases from I Heart Kpop (today the person noticed that #Seungmin is my bias, so they picked out 4 Seungmin cards for me 💕)
* A second album for my photocards, because the first one is overflowing
* A pack of photocard sleeves
* A fucking multi-region combo Blu-ray and DVD player (because I legit expected that I wouldn't ever again watch videos stored on physical media when I could just stream things, oh god why can't I just *stream things*)
I was deeply tempted to buy some of the member-designed Japanese merch, including #I_N's green knit balaclava and Seungmin's I LOVE MY SHOES packing cube. Please praise my restraint.
I don't know if I want to open all these items at once, or spread them out over time, but I think it will probably be more enjoyable to spread them out.
(It was a mistake to open all those Nacific photocards at once. I wish I'd only opened one pack a day instead.)

Okay I finally had a quiet moment to listen to/watch #CinemabyLeeKnowandSeungmin and first of all how dare they sound so lovely together? (Please do more duets; your voices together are SO nice!) 😍
Second, I'm actually <*chinhands*> at them because oh baby are there *layers* here; this is an ode to STAY, this is an ode to skz, this is an ode to their 7 year long journey to get where they are, this is an ode to being performers with massive stage presence and trying to meet fan expectations while having privacy, this is an ode to each other (both Seungmin and Lee Know to each other, and also them to the other members, I think), an ode to how fame can unanchor you if you're not careful.
"Cinema" is a veeeery deliberate choice of title and theme. And also, the entire framing makes me think of "All the world's a stage / and all the men and women merely players" (from *As You Like It*, Shakespeare); the full monologue is maudlin and bitter, and definitely this song could have taken that bent... but instead...

Welcome to our Cinema"It's a comfort show we all know. It's that one we know tugs our heart strings and might make us cry but mostly it's silly and feel good and always says "hey there you are 💕".
Because nobody is SKZ's biggest fan bar SKZ members themselves, remember? They're always the most hype. The most comforting. Always rallying around each other. Everything so far that's knocked out less well-knit groups has just made them closer and stronger and they just keep going and always praise each other and STAY as the reasons they keep going.
Lee Know and Seungmin probably made everyone cry with this song, I would bet you. But I guess those two had a LOT of feelings and felt confident in showing them like this.

The nostalgia and the finding the good to hold to when the world is rough and overwhelming definitely comes through in the MV, Seungmin, exactly as you wanted.
Also I think he would cry of happiness if Stay figured out how to give him a pickup baseball game as a gift. (Don't look at me, I was utter shit at it in elementary school and don't think I've gotten better! 🤪🤣) but just getting to play it properly... it'd make him so happy-sad-happy. You know? In about ten days, I have a consult with a tattoo artist to discuss a #skz tattoo.
I don't have a clear idea of what I'm going to get yet, or exactly where. But had been thinking of #skzoo characters in the artist's pretty & colourful style. Probably just #PuppyM (#Seungmin) & #WolfChan (#BangChan) to start with, but done in a way that the others could be added to the design over time.
My problem right now is: #I_N
He keeps wanting my attention.

#Seungmin & #Changbin play rock-paper-scissors. The winner's skzoo friend gets to bop the loser's skzoo friend with a squishy mallet.
Every time Seungmin wins a round, PuppyM is like an avenging angel with that mallet. Dwaekki is low-key freaking out, crouching with his giant foam head down & his hands in front of his face.
