We really need a browser - even a highly alpha, experimental browser, based on @servo to get devs feedback, awareness, contributors and further funding stat. The Chrome based browser oligopoly is closing in and it's going to take time and resources to build the escape hatch.

So... more something like ChromeOS or FirefoxOS? Can it still reasonably be used as a desktop browser...? Or does it's goals preclude that original usecase?
I would desperately love to find something, even very pre-alpha that could be used as a Servo based browser. Kumo is the best I've found so far, which isn't setting the bar very high.

It's totally not clear what it actually *is*, or even what it's actually called. Is it Beaver? Is it WebBeef?
The only description I found was "a platform that provides permissionless user agency. [...] building a Web based user agent that can play new tricks."
What does that mean?Is this a browser? Is it something like an AI agent? Is this something like an embedded web view (different from Servo, how?) ? Something else entirely? (What?)

I wonder if it would be possible to hard fork Firefox, replacing Gecko with Servo? I'm sure it's a huge project, but surely much smaller than trying to maintain a hard fork of both Firefox *and* Gecko, or trying to forever patch the larger and larger intrusions of Chrome into enshitification, and undo the harm of Blink becoming the web's One True Web Engine?

#Surf l'UI est inexistante mais ça peut faire le job, je suis 145Mo de mémoire donc bof.
#Servo le rendu est plutot propre mais il manque des images. Niveau mémoire on est sur 900Mo pour une seule page donc c'est pas encore au point.
Conclusion je dirais soit #Dillo soit #NetSurf ou alors peut-être #Firefox sans Javascript

Indeed, that's were most Firefox users are at. There isn't a viable alternative that is not worse, yet. Hopefully #Servo will be that alternative
