🌋 Der indonesische Vulkan #Ruang hat bei seinem Ausbruch am Mittwoch Wolken von Gestein und Asche bis zu 3.000 Meter in den Himmel geschossen. Täglich emittiert der Ruang bis zu 120.000 Tonnen Schwefeldioxid (SO2), die Vulkanwolke erstreckt sich über tausende Kilometer bis nach Singapur.
Die Wolkenausmaße wurden mit dem TROPOMI-Instrument an Bord des Satelliten #Sentinel5P 🛰️ erfasst und vom Earth Observation Center (EOC) des DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen grafisch verarbeitet.
