Ich halte #ScreenX weiterhin für Betrug. Kein Film, auch nicht Hail Mary, sieht aus wie im Trailer. Meist seitliche Leinwände aus, oder gefüllt mit wenigen verzerrten Pixel oder – sehr selten – gefüllt mit sinnvollen, allerdings ebenfalls verzerrten, Inhalten. 🤬
Die fehlende Höhe und deutlich schlechtere Bild- und Tonqualität im direkten Vergleich zum IMAX kommt noch hinzu.

I wonder what the contemporary #movie theater's threat model is. Is it “I'll half-watch it on my phone" or “I like to experience movies in #UHD #HDR on my 85” #OLED screen and my 11.2.4 #Atmos sound rig”? I ask because the marketing team for “Project Hail Mary" (loved the book, can't wait to see the movie adaptation) seems to be banking on a "see it in theaters” campaign and is helpfully having its directors explain the half dozen+ theatrical standards we seem to have evolved into.

#dune2, abermals, diesmal aber in #ScreenX. Der ScreenX-Trailer sieht sehr gut aus, im Kino ist davon aber leider kaum etwas zu sehen. Die meiste Zeit sind die seitlichen Leinwände nicht in Verwendung und wenn sie in Verwendung sind, dann wird ein verzerrtes Bild der Ränder gezeigt: ScreenX zoomt auf dem Hauptscreen etwas rein und stretcht dann die so gewonnenen Randbilder auf die gesamte Länge der seitlichen Leinwände. Der optische Effekt ist also mehr wie LED-Leisten am TV.

Went to see #TheMarvels in #ScreenX, is a form of horizontal not-IMAX. 👍🏻
Movie has ties into many storylines from previous MCU TV/movies, in prep for the "next phase". Also spoiler of mid-credits leading into something "X-".
#ScottPilgrim "link" because #BrieLarson and a "musical moment".
It's also a lot about woman-power (& family), so I don't understand why it's not doing somewhat closer in range to #Barbie's numbers.
It's is MUCH better than #QuantumMania, #Eternals, etc.
