For the first time in forever I've cast on a knitting project. I'm knitting a basketweave scarf with this self striping wool yarn from Baltic Knits. I've never used self striping yarn before, and I'm excited to see how it turns out. I've done the first 6 rows, or 1 pattern repeat. It's very easy and will keep me busy while watching TV or on car journeys.

Я много-много лет работал программистом и тимлидом, видел некоторое дерьмо. Честно скажу, иногда просто диву даёшься, насколько порой игнорируются психологические моменты работы. Особенно в больших организациях. На практике это порой влияет на продуктивность чуть ли не в разы, без шуток. И буквально на ровном месте. В безопасной, уважительной, творческой среде мозг раскрывается на всю катушку, и человек способен решать сложные нестандартные задачи, выдвигать классные идеи, работать с энтузиазмом. В токсичной, нестабильной, "микроменеджментской" среде тот же самый человек быстро окукливается до состояния "ты начальник, я дурак", и всё происходит только из-под палки и строго по инструкции. В какой-то очевидно плачевной ситуации получите: "а никто не говорил это чинить".

Made a scarf my friend commissioned. Suprised it didn't take me as long as I thought it would (and a lot less yarn).

I did it width ways, then made it longer.. as opposed to #crocheting the entire length and then making it thicker as it built up.

It is 6 inches across, so hopefully I made it pretty standard sized.

Hopefully they like it.
