Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp – „The Tourist“ (2010)
Venedig hat einen eigenen Geruch. Manche sagen, es riecht nach Fäulnis, andere sagen, es riecht nach dem altem Geld eines verrotteten Imperiums. Für Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck war die Lagunenstadt allerdings nur eine Kulisse aus einem Hochglanz-Katalog von LVMH. So viel Reinlichkeit hat noch kein Touristenbüro zustande gebracht. Und in dieser Kulisse schweben zwei Gestalten, die angeblich Menschen darstellen: Angelina Jolie als Dior-Schaufensterpuppe und Johnny Depp als unbeholfener Mathematiklehrer, der aussieht, als trüge er den Anzug seines Anwalts.
