In 2011 (partly organised by myself) we had a #StreetParty (image below) in our middle-class neighbourhood to celebrate the #RoyalWedding, with bunting, food, games, etc. Twelve years later and not so much as a party-popper. The odd neighbour put up restrained decorations. But, no party for the #Coronation.

    What occurred in those twelve years that enthusiasm for matters royal fell out of favour with even the relatively well-off middle-classes?
