When Roku started back in the 90's before other steaming devices were available, I readily signed up but, after they "upgraded" their equipment and made what I had already purchased obsolete (requiring me to buy NEW equipment), I vowed I'd never buy a Roku product again.
I've been using Amazon's Firesticks which still work even if they are older models. So, F*CK Roku!!!! 😡

#Roku now requires you to register your devices with an email address, name, birth date, gender (I gave all bogus data), and finally a credit card number to keep on-file. Roku is already creating (and selling) watching profiles of my viewing habits. Now they want all of this info, just to activate a device I already paid for. No thank you. I'm returning mine.
