CROSSPLOT (1969)

Hadn't even heard about this film until I happened to come across it by pure chance but what's not to love when a pre-James Bond Roger Moore meets his future boss Bernard Lee together with Francis Matthews (who in a way taught me English via his FOLLOW ME TV-series) and even Veronica Carlson in a small scene.

The plot is utterly bonkers but it does feature a psychedelic party scene happening at a funeral.

So, yes, groovy, man, groovy!

I consider myself pretty deep into the style filmmaking of past decades. But #Gold from 1974 with #RogerMoore was hard to watch even for me. It's incredibly dated!

It's not a bad-bad film. But everything is so on the nose. Several obvious themes inherent in the plot (apartheid...) are completely disregarded.

My "favourite": the bad guy is characterised by being a non-smoker. Yes, that's a negative character trait. Oh, and he can't get it up.
