This sequence gives a good demonstration of the 100-500mm zoom range. You get some decent magnification at full extension.
These images were captured with the Lumix S1RII, and shot handheld. They're at F8 with a min-shutter of 1/200. The stabe on this S1RII + 100-500mm combo is brilliant, it feels so solid and delivers super sharp images.

Gonna make a little thread here with rocks and snow.
This kind of scene is the main reason I carry a telephoto lens in the Arctic. I don't take many photos, but want to have it with me when the light is giving me some joy.
