My #Meshtastic Plan:

- My office at UWM is three miles from the house and much higher in elevation. I'm setting up a Heltec v3 with an aftermarket antenna there.
- My parents' house is two miles away and roughly at the same elevation. I'm going to set up the same thing there.
- From the side of my house facing the UWM office, I can reach a solar-powered node that I believe is somewhere in #Riverwest. I'm setting up a third Heltec there.
- I started with a Lilygo T-Deck Plus, which I can carry around and use for range testing. I consider that my primary device.
- I ordered two "XIAO ESP32S3 & Wio-SX1262 Kits for Meshtastic" from Seeed. I was going to use them as low-power solar repeaters that I leave in the woods to fill gaps in the legs between the two extremities. They were $10 a piece, so putting them in the woods in a waterproof case feels safe.

Let's see if spanning five miles and going uphill is achievable.
