I was hearing organic roars from the crowd tonight, including a loud chant of "Let's Go Blazers!" They're really into this team now. I heard that there was one of those chants spontaneously breaking out away from the stands.
There is a report that the team would consider trading Anfernee Simons, Jerami Grant or Deandre Ayton. They would want young players that would fit with their core in return, not draft picks.
I wouldn't trade any of them right now. Especially not Deandre, who has claimed ownership of the guards. They're now "my guards." Don't mess with chemistry. Especially when it's, like, 7 feet tall.
I was staring at the ceiling in the basement last night, wondering if Donovan Clingan would need to duck his head to do his laundry there.
He would.
Scoot Henderson is making lob passes like few I've seen before. Heck, he's just a great passer. He's also making some nice baskets at the rim that he wasn't completing earlier in the season. He reads the floor extremely well. After a truly terrible start to the season, his 3-point shooting is now league average, per Danny Marang on Rip City Wrapup tonight.
The Blazers have faced some good teams in their 9 out of 10 games winning streak. They swept a 3-game road trip, beat the Suns twice, and won a slug-fest between two tired teams tonight, defeating the Pacers.
Those Indiana guys like to shove a forearm into your ribs to knock you down when they think the refs aren't looking. They got caught a couple of times tonight.
What lies ahead after the all-star break is a long stretch of road games against great teams. I'm not betting they reach 41 wins this season. However, I really like what I'm seeing right now. The hard work is paying off, and the team is healthy (a big reason why they've finally gelled).
Give Chauncey coach of the year honors. He's building men, and those men play damn good D.

Rip City Wrapup is suspiciously similar to Blazers Outsiders, a show broadcast on a different network before the Blazers went to, and then ran away from, Fubo for a season.
It's similar in that 2 of the 3 hosts hosted that show doing the same sort of thing - analyzing the team after the post-game show. But I think, if I'm not mistaken, that it was a 30-minute time slot. This is a full hour.
Just jocks and stats, with insight. I like it enough to hang around to watch it.
Disclaimer: They said nice things to me, personally, because I stuck around to the end of the show on the night Memphis stomped on the Blazers; a night when Chauncey was late to the post-game presser because he had to calm down after yelling at them for lack of energy. As the only person likely to still be watching at the end, I appreciated all 3 of them addressing the camera, to thank me for my fortitude.
They really did say they loved me. ❤️ 🏀

The Rip City Wrapup show, which in another incarnation on a different network, with only a slightly different team, was called Blazers Outsiders, has no ads. None. They've sold no ads for this show. They still do the ad breaks, but it's just the bump music and a live camera shot of Moda Center.
Note that I am not begging for ads, but if they don't sell some, the show may get replaced by a cooking show with a beagle in a chef's hat.
I know the team is off to a slow start, but come on. This is one of the better post-game shows among post-game shows.
Go sell some ads!!!
