I was enjoying, despite steady rain, a #gravel ride around Devil's Hopyard in the Connecticut River Valley yesterday when a spoke broke and grabbed my rear #derailleur. After a few adjustments I was able to continue my ride, with a few gears skipping, and the lowest gear off limits, for fear of running the cage through the rest of my spokes. Well 20 miles later and I forgot about that limit and shifted into the lowest gear while cranking up a #cat4. Before I could unclip, the derailleur cage sheared 9 more spokes and sacrificed itself in the process 😿 #ridereport #sram #axs #ctgravel #fail #specialized #diverge
