I'm struggling with #RickRuben's #TheCreativeAct, where a lot of the content strikes me as trite and familiar, especially if you've read any book on #creativity, ever.

- "Spend time in nature."
- "Come up with rituals."
- "Eat mindfully."
- "Keep a dream journal."
- "You can't step into the same stream twice."

I've stepped into most of this advice, multiple times, in many books (#TheArtistsWay, for example). 😕 Why is this book so well-reviewed? If you loved it ... what did you love about it?

There's not much use in saying, "I'm not very good at being a writer."

You wouldn't say, "I'm not much good at being a monk." You either live like a monk or you don't.

Don't worry about being good at being a writer. Just live like a writer.
