The Richwhite & Thackwray influencer roadshow is back in the news, because their proposed Queenstown glow worm cave tourist attraction has been turned down by the Council.

The rejection is based around the subdivision of the land concerned, which I believe is owned by a third party. It sits just outside QT, on your left as you head towards Coronet Peak.

You have to question the claim that the rich kids will run "a sustainable glowworm experience." If you're ripping glow worms out of their natural habitat to stock your tourist attraction, the word "sustainable" is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Here we go again. Stuff reports "Kiwi influencer couple claim proposed Queenstown glow worm caves will be 'world-leading'".

I guess it'll be "world-leading" because there are no glow worms in the area and their business plan involves "translocating" the poor worms to the site from some unspecified location. Is that even legal?

And why use "influencer couple" when the term "rich pricks" might be more appropriate.
