Hi there Music #Tracker folks (#Renoise) especially:
I am quite disappointed by Renoise's ignorance of Clap. There are "Feature Requests" going on since 2021, meanwhile new Renoise versions came out – but this -important- development stays ignored.
When looking for the up to date state of this topic (nothing of course), I've stumbled upon this Tracker:

music maker of the "record making" persuasion, using #renoise mostly, I make downtempo music that wants to jump at your face and stays as long as it takes to peel off. Big beats, synths, tension and maybe eventually a bit of angularity.
Mostly dealt with the #soundtracking scene, the #demoscene and the #netlabel scene, been on the web for a long time.
ps: I may have an attitude problem and I'm working on it through extensive blogging, it's complicated.

Or I may not. Who knows… I wonder if there are people who use these things in fediverse, in any style of music. I know some and I would be keen to find out more.

I just saw over at "Linux Daw", that JoaCHIP has started porting old Jeskola Buzz Plugins like Arguelle¹'s TB4006 from around 2000 to Linux/#VST (also Windows and Mac, but who cares nowadays? ;) ) and I celebrate any of this!!

¹ Arguelle (Juan Antonio Arguelles Rius in RL) was a positively mad man who like every second day (!) released another weird tracker software, but also some #Buzz Plugins. One of his countless trackers is the technical foundation of #Renoise btw. He died way to soon around 20 years ago in a car accident.

@elifyalvac I wish they made something like #LSDJ #tracker for #Android, or even something like #Renoise. Especially with the popularity of the #Dirtywave and the #Polyend hardware trackers, there's clearly a demand for a modern tracker #daw for #mobile #musicians. I know we have #sunvox but I really struggle with its ux quirks. Tried something different this time by merging some #bassMusic vibes with #Acid – and yes, that turned out pretty nice, I'd say 😜 .
Sonic weapons of joice: #Renoise on #Linux with lots of #Uhe U-HE TyrellN6 instances (nowadays free!) for most of the "harmonic" sounds, Surge XT of course and most important JC-303, the by far best open source TB303 plug-in. Then a bunch of classic M1 Piano samples (not that they can be recognized as such after my heavy FX treatment), unconventional sliced and filtered drum loops from random "first to pop up in my SE" Internet sources, the iconic Atari ST speech synth, the Google Translate voice, own field recordings and lots of filtered feedback delay chains. Almost no reverb btw (only for rhythmic accents and in the beginning).

Feature: Paketti Stem Loader - this will take the stems you provide it, and create new tracks, rename the new tracks accordingly, load the instruments in pakettified, introduce `*Instr. Macros` devices for each track, and read the BPM from the Wavefile header, or read the BPM from the folder the files are in, then calculate the length of the samples, and add the correct amount of patterns to the pattern

Feature: Pattern Name Loop - this triggers Sequence Selection Loops using the `[` and `]` format, so if you want to loop `[]` single pattern, that's what gets looped, if you have a multiple bunch of patterns, start with `[` in the name and finish with `]` in the name somewhere else.
