Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

I was chatting with a fellow #kinkster last night. It’s been a while since someone stopped and acknowledged the things I share and how they flag my #submissive energy and #service #slavery. In part I was referring to those thinking my age and hairiness suggest I’m a #dominant/ #top #daddy. No. No. Not really.
My #energy is #boy #bottom submissive. My #demeanor belies my confidence and my #AuDHD can make it seem I’m being more #assertive than I often feel. And yes I get how this might all be confusing.
The fun part is he finds this even more hot, because others observing would be very confused. #Mindfuck. I get that. But it does make talking to guys harder. No really I’m a bottom who wants it #rough, no my own #orgasm isn’t the point. I don’t often enjoy #reciprocation. I’m serving and being used. Yes it’s entirely #consensual and #pleasurable. #Canes are awesome! Sure I’ll lick your #feet and #boots.
FWIW I am a #dad. I am NOT a daddy. 🤪

“How do we practice deep and reciprocal relationships as resistance to our culture of transactionalism and extraction?” asks Tanuja Jagernauth. In this year-end episode of “Movement Memos,” Jagernauth and host &
@MsKellyMHayes discuss the cultivation of hope, how activists can practice reciprocal care, the importance of celebrating big and small victories, and how to process painful feelings without being consumed by them.https://truthout.org/audio/navigating-grief-and-cultivating-hope-at-the-end-of-2022/

Ah, yes - I haven't seen that for a while & had forgotten about it.I agree that it's strange, and has a negative side. I also respect their #culture for having the confidence in resiliency to take on a label that accommodates the more rigid western culture's precepts.
Basically, the first thing I do when confronted with that is to ask their real name, make the immediate effort to learn how to pronounce it correctly (which I think is another motivation they have), and then use it. I've never had them insist on the westernized label after doing that, and it has a social impact in the setting too.
It flows from "Seek 1st to understand, then to be understood." That should not be seen as a one-off, IMO. #Reciprocation completes the benefit.
