I've been sick with a cold since Wednesday. I'm starting to feel better, but since I'm stuck inside, I did some more stuff with R2.

Dome hinges are now working. I get to program more sequences now that I know they work properly. Then I can work on body hinge designs and getting the utility arms functional.

What a journey this has been! R2-D2 is finally wired and moving about! I'm so proud! There's a lot of work yet to do, but I think for now I'll rest the next few days.

Ok, one day later and I've finished wiring up R2-D2's dome. Barring any bad cables, of which I'm sure there are a few, I can tackle the body next. That's far less complex. So I think it'll go faster.

There. Now the doors are taped on, and I can focus on electronics.

I just ripped out these 4 body panel hinges. I'm just not happy with them at all. The metal frames are warped and the mounting points are warped even worse.
I'm going to design my own versions instead and add them back in later. In the meantime, I'll just tape these doors in and move on with getting the rest of the electronics wired and done.
