time to look for a new search engine..
I had too much downtime there anyway.
It got better the last couple of days.
But I don't want that AI thing. 🤷‍♂️

Here's a fun one. I just got a message that I thought was spam telling me my blog doesn't show up in #Bing search results (and any search engine that uses Bing like #DuckDuckGo and #Qwant (who totally do not have their own index)).

And... It's true. I have been deindexed?

I was testing #Uruky and a couple of searches I did were frustratingly bad. Like the link I wanted was number 4 or 5. There was Instagram, and Trip Advisor higher up, just useless stuff.

I was using EUSP, which is a combination of Qwant and Ecosia.

So I tried #Qwant directly. Great results, bang what I wanted.

I tried #Ecosia, and got a random mess of Instagram, Trip Advisor, Facebook, etc..

I think I concluded I don't want EUSP...I want Qwant. But it won't give me Qwant

より #Startpage のほうがだいぶたくさん検索結果が出てくるな

#Startpage はたしか Google の検索結果を（どういう契約・仕組みかよくわかってないけど）を表示してると見聞きしたことがあって大体そうなんだろうという結果が出ているように見えるけど
#Ecosia は Setting で prefer search engine で Google を選べはするものの、このクエリに関する検索結果にはそんなに（というか全然）変わらなかった

Ecosia はフランスと検索エンジン #Qwant と協力して European search index というのやってるけど、そのインデックスデータを使ってるのはまだ一部地域からのアクセスだけだった気がするし、この結果はあくまでも "Prefer" search engine の選択というだけで、その検索エンジンとおんなじものを出すわけではない、ということなのかもな

Ecosia fails to grasp how working with #Amazon and Microsoft contradicts the environmental cause. It’s really bad news. There is no doubt these wolves in sheep’s clothes will fool the EU into endorsement.

Moi Qwant je préfèrerais t'utiliser plutôt que du 100 % étasunien. Mais si 9 fois sur 10 tu me retourne une page d'erreur sans résultats, ça va être compliqué.

Maybe I need to switch from my Search Engine of choice... The future is looking ever more bleak. 😢
