Whilst taking part in the 2m UKAC this week, Ian was busy assembling "the big ear" on our shack building.
This is a 1.2m dish for QO-100. It receives the satellite much better than the old dish, and is just about good enough to receive the DATV side too.
It should also make transmitting much easier, with more gain and less feeder loss!

I’ve been attempting to get the #freedv AppImage for #flexradio running on the RPi4 I use as my Allstar Node. I couldn’t get it to decode.
Managed to get it running on my #uconsole and received ON4LX operating on #qo100.
Spoiler: there is a firewall on the Allstar Node.

Fellow UK Hams. I'm trying to plan the new radio station for when we arrive back in the UK early next year. I want a 12-15m lattice tilt over tower that will accommodate a SPID Az/El and a antenna-amplifiers Super LEO vhf/uhf package along with a vertical and 23cm 70ele yagi as a possibility. Ideally capable of 50kg+ load without me breaking into a sweat when it's breezy.
Apart from MM0CUG I'm struggling to find suppliers of masts. Any recommendations?

If I see a lot of calls towards a rare station bd8ccu, is there a simple / quick way to check if my station did hear that dx station?
A grep or ctrl-f filter to show all my decodes on that station.

My #clockworkpi #uconsole arrived this week (just after my #hackergadgets SDR extension board).
I fitted a #raspberrypi CM5 in it and compiled PiHPSDR to connect to my Pluto+ which I use for #qo100.
This thing is 🔥

Yay, my #QO100 gear survived the move and still works! #HamRadio #AmateurRadio #AmateurFunk #EsHail #SatCom

TinySA Ultra measures -22 dBm on #AdalmPluto and 4.5dBm on #HackRF for 2400MHz.
The latter gets me over the satellite.
Still wondering if I blew Pluto final or it is a ( #soapy / #osmosdr / #QRadioLink ) software problem...

Today instead of #gqrx i re-tried using #linhpsdr
The software immediately found the #AdalmPluto via #SoapySDR and showed the waterfall of narrow band #qo100 satellite. So far so good!
When pressing the TUNE knob the cli showed:
rxtx: isTransmitting=1
and on depress:
rxtx: isTransmitting=0
However I heard nothing on a real radio on the frequency. I tried usb and cw.
After this little TX test audo drops dead ( SOUNDIO backend PulseAudio Sample Rate 48000 ). -
Can anybody help me out with suggestions for a #144mhz low power amplifier for my #flexradio.
My 6700 only provides 10dBm (0.01 watt) which isn’t enough for my #qo100 transverter. I’m looking for something to kick that up to at least 30dBm (1 watt).
I could use one of the ANT ports on the 6700 but I use both on HF and to be honest, it’s more likely I’d accidentally send 100w to the transverter by accident ;)
