I've restructured my training log into a yaml collection in Pure Blog, losing ~3,000 workout files should speed up my post save time somewhat! I've also customised my dashboard to create and filter yml collection posts aligned to how markdown posts work natively.

I'm thinking about how to realize multilingual functionality on the rework of my blog or if it's even worth the hassle at all and instead of mixing different languages in one system it may be better suited to strictly separate each language in its own discrete Blog. 🤔

Further more I'm thinking about how and were PureBlog fits in all of this in the foreseeable future of my digital life of expression.

Plan is, in the foreseeable future Mastodon shall become mostly a way of distributing and sharing posts of my blog into a broader audience while mostly the reactions tracks back to my blog and take interactions there.

The only major downside of Kirby for me is it's license pricing every 3 years or so. I do like the idea of a fixed license price for a product that has to be renewed regularly but at the same time that's a factor to calculate.

I just hope it's maintenance or something...

For the past 6 weeks or so, I've been doing a major re-factor of Pure Blog to clean some stuff up. I'm ready to release it, but it will be a breaking update, as it includes changes to the update process.

So people won't be able to update from within #PureBlog, but I'm not sure how to manage this? Should I just communicate this everywhere and hope people see it? Or should I mark the next release as pre-release in GitHub so the in-app updater doesn't work?

I'm open to any other ideas to..

Perhaps with something like Pages CMS on top of a Git-/repository-based workflow - for convenience.

But I would prefer to have some non-US non-profit alternative for GitHub. And Codeberg (Forgejo) e.g. is exactly that.

@kranzkrone Wenn ich auf Github schaue finde ich zu Bludit regelmäßige Updates, zuletzt vor zwei Tagen. Oder meintest du mit Sackgasse etwas anderes?

Vorteil bei #PureBlog wäre die Speicherung als einzelne .md Dateien. Da kann man wohl recht rasch zu einem anderen Flatfile CM/S wechseln.

Aber ja. Wechsel sollte man sich immer gut überlegen.

Ich weiß das ich nichts weiß, daher glaube ich nun zu wissen warum noch ein gewisser Wiederstand in mir besteht bezüglich des "einfach installieren und damit loslegen" im Zusammenhang mit PureBlog als sozusagen Erweiterung oder vielleicht auch Neuauflage für meinen Blog, gleichwohl unter einer anderen sowie neuen Domain. 🤔

Denn ich habe einst mit Bludit, welches seit Jahren nur noch in einer Form des Wartungsmodus existiert sowie scheinbar langsam und stetig stirbt, somit langfristig eine schlechte sowie für mich bedeutsame Erfahrung gemacht in Form einer digitalen Sackgasse. 🙄

PureBlog scheint wie Bludit einst auf den ersten Blick ein sprichwörtliches 1-Person Projekt zu sein, wodurch die Wahrscheinlichkeit für eine ähnliche Katastrophe für mich besteht. 😐

I’m really tempted at the moment not only to set up a “development blog” based on PureBlog (https://pureblog.org/) for my development project with Kirby (https://quasselkopf.de/@kranzkrone/116234118194406220), but also to replace my existing blog with it, so that I have a place to write down and publish my thoughts again, at least until the aforementioned Kirby project is finished. 🙄😅😉

PureBlog and GetKirby are both flat-file style CMS's, so they operate on the same level in terms of functionality, but differ greatly in terms of administration and scope. 😃

As I’ve been using Mastodon as a temporary substitute for blogging for a while now, PureBlog could be a useful addition to that. 🤔

Perhaps I should use the public holiday on 1 May to make a decision on this matter. 😁

Ich bin momentan echt in Versuchung, nicht nur einen "Entwicklungs Blog" auf Basis von PureBlog(https://pureblog.org/) aufzusetzen für mein Entwicklungs Projekt mit Kirby(https://quasselkopf.de/@kranzkrone/116234113937376405), sondern auch meinen bisherigen Blog dadurch zu ersetzen um zumindest bis zur Fertigstellung des besagten Kirby-Projekt wieder einen Ort zum niederschreiben sowie publizieren meiner Gedanken zu haben. 🙄😅😉

PureBlog und GetKirby sind beides CMS im Stil von FlatFile, somit in der Funktionsweise auf der gleiche Ebene, lediglich in dessen Verwaltung und Umfang sehr unterschiedlich. 😃

Da ich seit einer Weile schon Mastodon als zeitweise Ersatz zum bloggen nutze, könnte PureBlog eine sinnvolle Ergänzung dazu sein. 🤔

Vielleicht sollte ich den Feiertag des 1. Mai für eine Entscheidung in dieser Sache nutzen. 😁
